PROJECTS

PROJECT: Music Man, Jr.

Classical Conversations first venture in the world of performing arts started as a small notion that perhaps a handful of students would be interested and ended in a full blown production with a cast over 40 from ages 6-16.  The final curtain call was an emotional one as we all rejoiced for not just a job done but a job done so well that we must do it again!

PROJECT: Recording Studio

Ken Blount Ministries, known for their ministry to the family and children's worship CD's, asked CCMT if we would bring 20 kids to the recording studio to do background vocals on several tracks for their upcoming album.  This was a rich experience for our kids and a dynamic opportunity to meet the gifted "Nicodemous" from the Gospel Bill Show!

PROJECT: Beauty and the Beast, Jr.

Wow!  Over 70 Classical Conversations families in Northeastern OKlahoma particated in the Beauty and the Beast, Jr. production.  Ninety-Two students from the age of 4-18 took the stage aggressively.  We had starting and seasoned actors bettering themselves through the Arts.  Everyone grew, everyone shined. Every performance was sold out giving us an audience of over 1,100 people.  A parent asked, "what happens if we grow next year?" and our response was, "we'll just have to be even more creative!" Beauty and the Beast, Jr was a milestone in each of our lives and in our program.

WORKSHOPS:

The CC Performing Arts program not only gives students the opportunity to take center stage yet offers students the opportunity to learn the elements needed to be successful on any stage.  Whether that stage be a team sport, classroom, small group or at home, our greatest asset is our ability to use the gifts and resources God has given us to their fullest potential.  We commit ourselves to improving each student through workshops and moments of learning.

PROJECT: Aladdin, Jr.

The CC Performing Arts program will be endeavoring to tackle the emphamous Aladdin, Jr. play.  We are confident that our creative team, diligent families and phenomenal students will present this play in an all new way. Our last production sold out.  Be sure to check the site in March for ticket sales. You don't want to miss it.

FIELD TRIPS:

The CC Performing Arts program prides itself on its diligence to offer students a variety of learning experiences.  We take education on the road!  Field trips are wonderful oppotunities to gain knowledge and peripheral vision in all the areas of the arts.  These opportunities develop team spirit, an excellent character and professional outlook in our students.  In most cases, the field trips are completely free to the students and their families.
