Prepare to Audition
Follow the three steps below to ensure you are prepared to audition on October 20th. Don't forget to sign up for your audition time, group and number. Here is a link to sign up:
There will be three phases to the audition process:
group choreography, group music and one-minute individual audition.

Group Music
Come to auditions prepared to sing a scale and snippet from the following song Arabian Nights. Most often, we receive the question "Do I have to sing during the show?" The answer is "yes". Since the production is a musical, everyone in the play will at one time or another sing in the chorus; however, you are not required to sing for the auditions. Just know that declining to sing will limit the roles you can audition for. There are both singing and non-singing lead roles in the play. We often suggest to try to sing whether you're experienced at it or not. We'll walk you through it and you may even surprise yourself! Most of our leading cast from Beauty and the Beast had never sung in public before!

Group Choreography
Your group of ten will come into the choreography room and will be expected to perform together, the following choreography. We are looking for those who have taken the time to prepare and learn the choreography. Don't forget to smile and perform while doing your steps.

Individual One-Minute Acting/Singing/Choregraphy
Come to auditions prepared to act out a monologue or poem. Remember, you have only one-minute from introduction to finish. You may want to take this opportunity to highlight your music or choreography abilities in conjunction with your aciting.
Songs must be acapella and within the one minute allotment.
Do you know any advanced dance or gymnastics moves? This is your time to do that back walkover, somersault or cartwheel. There are several characters in the show who do cartwheels and flips. Also, there are several group dance routines availabe as well.
Try to memorize your monologue or poem and place emotions in your presentation. There will be a chair in the audition room if an actor desires to use it for staging. Monologues and poems can be found by visiting the following links but are not limited to this resource. Choose lines and a snippet of a song from your favorite musical.
